11/28/2006 Just another update...Actually nothing really interesting happened since my last update.. haven't been to any interesting places except Kiev once again due to work. Just wanted to upload a few pictures that were taken in the last couple of weeks. Haven't had time to productive in that section as my job takes up most of the day. Coming home kind of exhausted, having my dinner and usually doing something to keep myself in shape and studying chinese and korean for a while.
Anyways, enough of the boring part of this blog.. enjoy the pictures ^_^ 5/22/2006 News.. news?Another update eh?
Anything new in my life? Definetly! Turned 22 a couple of weeks ago, had an awesome party with my friends to celebrate my brother and phu rejoining their lives (they've been in the army till the beginning of may) and two other birthday kids (i'm allowed to say kids, because i was the wise one.. i mean.. the oldest one -o-).
We had beer, bbq, beer, bbq.. oh, did i already mention beer? omg, i don't know what happened, but an unorganized meeting like this, ends up in having tons of the same stuff from everyone. in the following day, we still had more than enough beer to get an elephant drunk.. or two -o-
What else happened? hmmmmm. The life of a movie producer must be awesome. It's tough though, that's right. But you get to frame your imaginiation onto film and let others experience what you had in mind. Living through all the situations involved from the other side of the movie theatre (namely as a director and actor.. and camera man + team.. and and and) is quite interesting. Hopefully me and my brother can finish this short movie by the end of this week.
And then.. i will also update the album with a few [behind the scenes] pictures. so.. stay tuned!
PS: hello jennnyyyy~~~~ ^.^ 2/27/2006 Review...It's been a while since my last update. Quite a few things happened during that period so I'll start chronologically ^.^
New year 05/0631st Dec. 05 No big deal for me because I had fun with the guy sitting in the cabin who kept staring at Liz. Whenever she or someone of us made eye contact with him, he would turn his head and pretend to play with his fingers. It was really dark when we arrived, but fortunately File and Phu picked us up and we could prepare ourselves for the upcoming event. New years eve was about to be spent at a studio of an artist. Most of that artists work has been transfered so that place was half empty. Phu, my bro and me came a bit earlier to help setting up the place. Equipped with a Playstation 2, big speakers and a karaoke station, we were ready for the guests to come. Of course there was a lot of food too, if not to say TONS! Starting from Dan Tat (cantonese spelling -o-) to all sorts of prepared breads and junk food aka chips etc.
Aaaaand, not to forget all the alcohol hehe ^.^ Heli @ food like always hehe
The girl gang.

6th January 2006 - Eye Toy ActionAfter getting the big LCD screen we had to test it out with our friends.. and oh wow, we smelled like a bunch of bums after all the sweating hehe
Alright, that's it for now. I will update tomorrow and compress the pictures, guess it'll load a bit slow due to it's size -.-; 11/6/2005 Vienna Zoo!Omg, last week my bro, me and the auwiesen crew decided to spend our day off in vienna.
The girls and my cousin were there at lunch and started their shopping spree while maga, me and my bro were taking
the train to our destination. We met old school kung fu master Phu who took us around to get sth to bite ^.^
After the big lunch it was finally time to start our journey to the VIENNA ZOO! Yeah!
Ticket fare was 12€ (holy shit) for adults and 5€ for students/minors. And they said we only had
an hour left because they were closing earlier due to winter time and stuff.. bleh, but we decided to go anyways since
we came here all the way (190km) and we all wanted to see those cute pandas! ^.^
I put them in my album so go and check it out~ ^.^ 10/13/2005 Wing TsunI had my first Wing Tsun class last night with my sister.
What drew my attention to do this type of martial arts was its principle of minimizing motion in order to maximize your effectiveness. You combine movements to cut down time of execution (compared to sequentially performed moves). Due to the fact that this 'art' was invented by a woman from the qing dynasty (as far as I can recall from what I read and heared last night) Wing Tsun does not rely on strength (as a main source) to put down your enemy. Its using your opponents force and turn it to your advantage e.g. creating opportunities for you to move into your attacker and knock him down.
I saw my Sifu, who trained for more than 17 years, fighting one of his students with closed eyes. He used his arms to 'see' what's happening, sticking onto his opponent and not letting go (principle of Chi Sau - Sticky Hands).
Anyways, I'm still too noobish at the moment, but from what my sis and I experienced at that class was really interresting.
Can't wait to start the real course next week.
Here a picture of grandmaster Yip Man and Bruce Lee.

9/26/2005 Maga's birthdayJust wanted to update my little blog with some pictures that we took on Maga's birthday party~ 9/17/2005 I was in...KIEV! and now I'm back in Austria again haha. Even though there was tons of work to do, writing and adjusting all the quality related documents, I'm glad that I had the opportunity to go there and check out how nice the country is. Lots of stuff you can buy for less than 50% of what you normally have to pay in Austria (especially the VODKA haha). And.. holy cow.. the women over there are amazing  8/31/2005 I'm...Aiya... ㅜ.ㅜ
I'm back in austria again grrr. dont want to talk about it, just enjoy the pics I uploaded for you guys.. TONS of pictures hahaha! More to come!
For the days 9-11 check out my brothers blog: http://spaces.msn.com/members/Gangwon
For more pics check out Jenny's blog: http://spaces.msn.com/members/blaulove
Edit: FINISHED uploading all pictures~ 8/26/2005 I don't want...Grr.. only 4 more days in wonderful paradise.. Can't believe that time has passed so fast.
Last night we went for some cocktails and met some friends too. Damn, never play drinking games with koreans or you will exit the place completely wasted haha. Me and my bro belong to the sad 54% of asians that have the "asian glow", meaning that your face turns red like a tomato after one shot of alcohol.
Nevertheless.. it was so fun "losing" hehe.
After getting wasted we stumbled across the street to get something to eat. "How in the friggin' hell are they able to eat spicey stuff like that?" was what I thought after tasting this reddish looking rice noodle. I saw how the chef cooked them
We all had a lot of fun but returned home pretty early.. around 11pm. My bro and I decided to sleep as long as we could because we haven't had much sleep in the last couple of days.
I finally bought some cloths in Korea!! Awesome!! kaka, only some pants for 50 bucks but will buy some more shirts tomorrow. ppl over here are so awesome and always friendly kaka, can't repeat that often enough. so awesome hehe.
Alright, that's it for today, tomorrow we're on our way to the seoul tower woohoo~ 8/23/2005 I want...ㅜ.ㅜ ... Today was our last day with Natalie~
3am
My bro, Natalie and me were wandering around the Hyehwa area to find sth to eat. Most of the small eating opportunities on the streets offer living squids and other seafood which attracted me since the day we came here. But I'm not sure how my stomach would handle them so we decided to go somewhere else and eat in a more cleaner place having cooked stuff.
There wasn't much to chose from since it was friggin late. Some soup and rice, that's all we wanted. Now... if you don't know how to read korean then you're screwed lol. We got owned big time when we took a look at what they served us. Kaka, I had luck with my beef soup that tasted like the streets. My bro got old fish soup and Natalie.. yeah lol.. she called her dish "the mystery soup" lol. Let's say.. it tasted like the last crap haha.. and we even paid for it ㅠ.ㅠ..
~4am
Yeah.. I think that's the time when we arrived back in the hotel again.. She's gotta wake up at 6.30 so having a 2 hour sleep before we help her with the luggage was the best idea.
6.30am
Whoa... Waking up was the hardest thing lol but me and my bro managed pretty well. We got out of our room pretty fast and were waiting for Natalie. As she was exiting her room with this frigging humongous suitcase, a bag and her backpack haha.. and it was like carrying rocks @.@!
8am
We were waiting for around 40 minutes on the wrong bus stop. It was on the other side of the road.. pfft.. Never let girls lead you haha, it's not gonna work teheheh. Anyways.. too bad she left, no one is going to annoy me anymore grrr...
8.30am-15.20pm
SLEEP!!
16.00pm
We're on our way to one of Seoul's most expensive shopping streets.. APGUJEONG-DONG!!
First time eating at a korean Burger King was a weird experience. The ketchup tasted weird but the coke was one of the best things I've had in a long time kaka.. so unhealty ㅠ.ㅠ... Anyways, after eating we went to Seouls 'Beverly Hills'.. So many damn rich ppl.. I hate them haha! ㅜ.ㅜ'
How in the holy batman can you spend more than 300 USD on a plain black shirt?? grr.. makes me so confused. Since we're not Richie Rich nor Billy Gaytes (tehehe) we decided to go back and watch a movie.
20.30pm
Grr.. Ong Bak only showing in the morning hours.. alright, no movie for us. It's time for the Internet Cafe~~ And updating my blog lool, what a loser I am pfft..
We'll go to the COEX Mall tomorrow
Alright, that's all for now~
PS: I want to be rich!! muahahahahahahaha 8/20/2005 I spent...3am
Alright, this time it's going to be a short one lol.
My bro, Natalie, two girls from HK and me went to Dongdaemun Night Market! Holy cow! They have open at night and tons of ppl are there to check out cloths, eating and of course BARGAIN! muahaha
We bought tons of stuff and almost brought the sellers to tears haha! But still.. I do think we got ripped off big time (it's cheaper than in austria tho so no need for further complaints).
Oh yeah, today was a great day. I got my haircut, my bro got his haircut, we went to eat korean bbq and drank tea again. When I think back to my first day in korea, I must admit I hated it a bit. Nothing was working, trip was too long, busride, subwayride and then my friggin VISA card won't work at atms! And it was frigging hot!! Grrr..
But now everything turned out to be really really awesome.
No rain, sunshine, not hot, not humid.. holy cow! I look korean as well haha. My bro said when I don't wax my hair, I look like Bruce Lee! And what was the only logical thing to do after hearing that comment?
ONE INCH PUNCH!! hehe, that's what you guys thought kkkkk. I bought huge Bruce Lee sunglasses!!
kaka
Damn, my feet hurt from all the walking but I seriously think that seoul is the best place I've ever been! I'd sooooo go there next time if I ever get another chance to do so, I can only recommend it. It's not like it's supercheap.. a lot of things are as expensive as in the states or in austria. But you get haircuts and some type of cloths for a really good price. (got haircut for 15 bucks.. but I still look like a loser /-o-/ )
Have no idea what to do today but won't wake up before 11am for sure lol. Good thing: I'm not hungry anymore.. bad thing: i'm not tired enough to fall asleep yet grr.. so will spend some more time on the net haha.
Alright guys, that's it for today~~ See you next time kaka
PS: I spent way too much money -o- ...... ㅜ.ㅜ 8/19/2005 I drank...Muahaha, today was an awesome day lol.
9:00pm last night
Me and my bro got home from a place not very far from here (see my last blog entry).
I went to bed then and my brother was hanging out with Natelie (she just arrived that day and my bro was helping her to carry her big suitcase muahaha).
Anyways.. I was sleeping for 3-4 hours and then all of the sudden I hear two guys knocking on the main door.
I thought this guesthouse would be open 24 hours a day but someone locked it. So I jumped off my bed and rushed down to open it. It was the guy that worked for 10 years in japan and a guy from the UK who wants to teach english in korea. We had a short chat about the low crime rate in japan and korea and usually ppl don't lock their doors. Seems logic to me because I've never seen someone stealing sth nor did I hear a lot of police sirens. People over here are extremely friendly.. and when I say extreme.. it is EXTREME!!
Anyways, me and that UK guy (who was pretty drunk by then already) went to a 24 hours shop to buy some alcohol. I had a soju and he was drinking beer.
4:30am
I didn't drink the whole bottle lol, only two shots and went to bed (because he kept on pouring my soju on the floor or all over the table loool).
12:20am
My brother went with Natalie to a restaurant to have a breakfast. I just woke up, pretty tired but I managed to take a shower+brushing my teeth at the same time!! lol
On my way to town I thought they left for a restaurant located a bit farther away from our hostel but my bro saw me passing by and dragged me into that noodle place. I had rice which was.. so-so food but only 3,000\ ~ 3 euros.
3pm
We were on our way to meet the two girls, Jinny and Yunyoung at Anguk.
This is a place where we had a tour through a palace called Choendeokgun (damn I forgot how to spell it grr).
Was an okay tour, she couldn speak clear english so didnt really understand what was going on.. I was more focused on photographing buildings lol.
4:30pm or so
We met my bro's friends and had a great time eating in a restaurant! Damn, wish I could put on the pictures we took today! It was awesome, food was great and the ppl are awesome too!
forgot the time
After eating we went along a shopping street which offered lots of tourist gifts lol.
After walking for a while we decided to have tea/beer in a cozy place. Loool! They had train rails on the floor and the seats looked like in a train. Kaka, awesome!!
Enough bla bla, we sat in there for 2 hours or so and now it's 11pm and I'm writing on this blog entry, hope you guys enjoyed it.
Will have more to tell tomorrow woohooo
Byebye~~~ 8/18/2005 I survived...Yes yes, i survived my trip to seoul, korea.
Damn, the korean internet explorer ate my first blog entry from yesterday and i couldnt bother to write it all over again.
Anyways, so far so good..
My first day in korea ended almost in a catastrophe because for some strange reason i couldn't withdraw money with my visa from an atm. no matter how many of them i tried, always gave me the same error message: "Invalid Pin-Code".
Now that i'm a smart guy (teheheh) i had my maestro card with me that i thought i couldnt use in korea.
i woke up at 7am and was wondering if i had entered the wrong pin number with my maestro card because i tried it the day before. so i walked on my own, my brother still in bed, voila! i had frigging tons of money in my wallet muahaha.
We had damn spicey ramyon for breakfast and we both almost choked on them lol. Soup was too hot for us to drink so we flushed it down the toilet.. remember kids: don't buy ramyon with a red packaging! (except you are as hardcore as i am.. and a bit more hehe).
today was spent with lots of walking in a big shopping district called MYONG DONG. they have tons of shops, tons of malls and tons of ppl (how can this be? more girls than guys holy moley!)
5 out of 7 levels in a mall were just dedicated to women cloths haha. if you are female, that's better than disneyland for you guys hehe. they really have EVERY-FRIGGING-THING!
we had our dinner at a very awesome place, 15 minutes away from our hostel. korean bbq is one of mankinds best invention ever! a cute girl and her boss were teaching us how to eat it lol. but it's soo much fun! and it was just enough to not explode from all the kimchi and beef. yummy, i need to go there again.. SOON!
it's 9 pm now, already thinking about what to do next. hopefully we can get a trip to a historic place.. well, let's see what going to happen.
as we don't have free internet service at our hostel, we can't deliver you guys with pictures. we'll do this once we get home or changed the hotel hehe.
until then (or the next blog entry)
annyong~~~~~~
@Khristine: me trying to find you the cutest thing ever made in korea kkk, i know i'll find it.. i know it!
@Jin: kaka, i'm still trying to figure out what i could buy you.. i still have a few more days left, right? hehe
@Wendy: muahaha, don't think i forgot about you kkk 8/14/2005 I prepared...Only one day left until I enter the plane heading to Seoul ^^
I've been waiting for this moment ever since I got hooked up with the korean media, including the culture and their language. I've been doing lots of studying, bought books, read about the korean history and and and.. you get the idea.
This weekend was stressy. I attened two birthday parties, ate tons of food and had a lot of fun. Of course there are pictures to show you guys too but need to get them sent by the takers (because I was too lazy to bring along my huge camera).
Oh yeah.. I prepared all the stuff I need to get my stinky body over the south korean border muahaha!! ^-^
That'd be my charm and of course my awesome cloths.... no wait, that was what I dreamt last night lol. I ment the tickets and my passport -___-'
Kinda excited because you enter a whole new world, a culture completely different to what you've lived for 20 years. Entering a world where everyone speaks a different language (I can only pick up a few words like "Thank you!" and "I want to have a cup of green tea" lol)
Me and my brother also prepared a rough plan of what we gonna do over there (shopping in the big market places, going to amusement parks with rollercoasters, checking out museums, checking out ducks.. no wait.. not ducks but.. the C in KFC if you know what I mean *wink wink* haha, that was actually a joke -________-' pfft)
Anyways, can't wait can't wait!
Oh and Khristine and Wendy! You guys gonna get awesome things from me ^^ Promised! :p
One more day fo rme to spend with my family.. then I won't see them from the 16th august - 15th september
Will have to feed myself and cook fo rmyself and live on my own ugh!
My bro will spend his last month of freedom with me in korea and austria until he finally has to join the army and be away for 8 months.. Austrian army sucks but I'm glad we don't have to serve in china or korea... that'd be too tough
Alright, that was it from my side.. once I'm back I'll have tons of experience and pictures to share here, so stay tuned~~~!! 7/23/2005 I cooked...Mwahaha, first time I cooked stuff that tasted awesome! Tehehe, had to take pictures of course ^o^
Hot & Sour Soup Julian Special! Go and check it out kaka
Oh, and I took two pics outside as well.. I suck at taking pics :( 7/22/2005 I killed...I never knew that I could kill something with my eyes.. until now.
Decided to go shopping and buy some stuff for a friend of mine. So I got dressed, put on my contact lenses that I haven't used for more than a month and slow-mo walked outside. I had my sunglasses on and my bro's black hat. Felt pretty good to smell fresh air, feeling the sunlight on my skin.
Even though ppl like to call me lazy, especially my family -____- I like physically challengening tasks. So it's nothing new for me to walk to places that are within 10km range, no matter of the weather conditions.
Took me around 45 minutes to get to my destination. I had a stop during my walk tho, went to my grandmom's grave, cleaned up the mess, prayed and asked her to bless my family, to let them stay healthy and happy. Something that I noticed when I tried to fill a bucket with water tho was, that the water stinks like hell. I tried to wash my hands and when I smelled my fingers.. eeww. Must be water from the sewers or so, reminded me of toilet water in china >.< doh!
Anyways, I continued walking, got out of the cemetary and 10 minutes later entered the shopping mall. One of the biggest in austria but compared to other malls in the states (or in general -_______-) it's a fart lol. Only a few shops, pretty uninteresting.
Even though I had a quest (namely to buy sth for a friend), I failed to finish it because my eyes started to hurt. Went to the bathroom to check and bloody hell.. I looked like I cried out half of my soul. Had nothing to store my lenses with me, so the only choice I had then was to walk (not in slow-mo this time) back home. Been at the mall for around 15 minutes >.< lol
Now the funny part haha...
8 minutes later it happened. I was looking left and right to check if there were any cars before I intended to cross the road and all of the sudden a dumbass flying insect flew directly into my eyes!! And me idiot closed my eyes and it kept it inside  After I opened my lids, I could feel that bastard in my lower lids.. well, I THOUGHT it was the insect but after a few failed attempts to get something out of my eyes I told myself that it was just an illusion or so. How are the odds that sth like that happens right? Maybe it was the lens that felt weird haha. Half an hour later I arrived to home sweet home. Looked into the mirror to check that I was right, only an illusion, my mind was playing a trick on me lol. Couldn't see anything so it was fine haha.
Took out my lenses, put them into their case.. vóila, done ^^ Quickly wash my face as well mwahaha
WHAT THE FRIGGIN HELL!! loool, all of the sudden I had this black thing on my finger, on closer inspection I could tell it was a baby fly ^o^ pfft
I can still remember that I killed a fly with my throat when I was 5 years old kaka. Was in some kind of kindergarden and playing soccer with my friends. Then a frigging HUUUGE fly flew directly in my mouth and at the same time I was screaming my lungs out because I wanted to power dropkick the ball! Crap haha, I coughed and spit on the floor, all I could see of that insect was blood :s whoa, that was disgusting. That was also the first time I washed my mouth with handsoap -O-
Okay, enough stories for today :p 7/6/2005 What a day -__-Oh wow I never knew that a day could be that long. Waking up at 6:30am as usual, getting dressed and having a cup of milk. Dashing to my bathroom to brush my teeth, do my hair and check my watch: 7:15. Alright another 5 more minutes until I leave the apartment. My throat feels dry so I’m going into the kitchen again and pouring myself some water into a cup. The sun shines through the window, so bright I don’t even dare to look outside. What a nice way to start off my day harhar. Unfortunately…
This perfect day only occurs once a week or less. Yesterday was horror. It was non-stop raining, windy and friggin cold. When I finally got to work the A/C was on. Wtf? I was glad to have another shirt on, if not, I’d freeze myself to death.
I’ve been working on that Quality Manual plus the company procedures for around 3 weeks already. Putting together more than 70 pages of documentation, diagrams and lots of other crap. I don’t complain because it’s the only way I see myself improving in English. Oh, didn’t I already tell you guys that I have to write this all in my non-native language? Even though we live in Austria? Wtf? Anyways..
I’m now waiting for some dudes coming from our client/customer company to listen to what my Australian (notice austrALIAN.. they are the ones with kangaroos keke) colleague and my boss present. I’ll prolly just sit somewhere and listen too, not sure yet about my function.. I just hope that I don’t have to serve coffee or some shit *ohnoes*
Yesterday I was working overtime.. started at 7:30am – 8:30pm.. >.< When I got home I had 3 bowls of rice but couldn’t finish the last one due to the over salted fish soup >.< or was that just a lame excuse for my bad eating skills? Dunno. When it was 9pm by then already, so after dinner I fought my bro.. on PS2!! He bought Tekken 5 and I had to test it out as well ^^ 30minutes of “defeat” later, it was time for a quick shower. 10pm: listened to 3 songs (a Korean theme song from a movie I don’t know, FIR – Wo Men De Ai and Guang Liang’s – Tong Hua) and finally jumped onto my bed for a nice sleep.
Oh crap, if every day would have this routine, I think I wouldn’t hesitate to hang myself.. no wait, I was just kidding haha. I’ll just hang in there, pretty sure that things will turn out better the harder I work.
Anyways, I thought I just update my space with some useless info about myself as I got complaints about the slowly decaying weblog *pouts and points to wenwen* jk
To Khristine: hope you’re feeling beeeetter~~~~ 6/19/2005 Photo shootingDaaaamn, we only wanted to take some pics for the girl that had birthday on the 18th june and we ended up taking pics of ourselves haha. Anyways, they can be checked out in my new photo album. Have fun^^ 6/17/2005 Plans Plans Plans.. and I'm brokeYay, finally I regained my enthusiams to work out again. The best thing to do that is to create yourself a plan, where you're forced to fill it out each time you train. I generally recommend everyone to work out a plan, a schedule of what you're about to do. I learned this method at work from a colleague of mine and it seems that it works out pretty well. You have your schedule and results layed out in a simple and understandable way. You have to put in deadlines and as you go you insert your milestones. Pretty simple to do and you can always keep track on your current project. I was taught this kinda stuff at school years ago, but never knew that you can really use this in real life. Now I became an organization fanatic, will creat plans for everything I do. And based on these information I will also work on statistics and stuff haha. How pathetic, but it's fun ^^ Hm.. I just drew 200€ last week and already spent all my money on bday presents, lunch/dinner and fathers day.. And guess what, this weekend another bday party -_- Guess after summer I'll be one broke guy grr.. but hey, money is not everything in this world ^^ I'll keep myself motivated to work harder.. I will enjoy life as much as I can!! Yay, this is the way to go^^ Okay.. this was once again a complete useless blog entry with no real meaning behind it. I suck at them -_- Go ahead and bash me \ö/ 6/15/2005 Sleep deficitI feel like I'm dead. Everytime in the morning I feel like I'm sick. I have no energy to do anything, something is wrong with me....
Tonight I'm going to sleep early.. At least I hope so. I had a hard time getting out of my bed, feeling dizzy.. and when I inhale deeply I feel like collapsing lol. Alright alright, maybe I exaggerated a bit too much, but this is how my workday starts.
I'm currently working on a Quality Management Handbook with my colleague. We've been breaking our head to understand the system for a while now. Finally we have done our rough layout of our document as well as have been working on an overview of all the processes involved in our company. I think it's a pretty good start, let's see how it'll turn out.
Furthermore I became too lazy to work out. I noticed it yesterday... -__-' Have to create a work out plan to keep myself motivated. I need to eat more and do more sports. Less sitting in front of the screen, create enthusiasm for everything I do... oh well, have to work on this step by step tho...
The weather over here is crap once again. I walked out and it was raining. It's this kind of weather which makes you feel tired. I miss the sunshine, the live that it brings. The only time where I enjoy the rain is, when I'm in bed, listening to the raindrops clashing against my window. And on the next day, you wake up, walk outside, take a deep breath and everything smells fresh and clean. This is how my perfect day would begin.
Whaaa... only a few more weeks left (okay, actually ~8 weeks) until my vacatino begins. |
